In her speech, Shen noted that the ACWF will unite and motivate all women to play the role of "half of the sky" in the realization of the centenary goal of building a moderately prosperous society in all respects, work with government departments to ensure that impoverished women do not have to worry about food and clothing and have access to compulsory education, basic medical services and safe housing, and give full play to women's role in poverty reduction and rural revitalization.

Shen went on to say that more efforts should be made to assist women's entrepreneurship and innovation, to improve the working mechanism for protection of women's legal rights and interests, and to promote socialist core values through the implementation of the "Family Happiness and Well-being Project."
Public participation in the "Looking for the Most Beautiful Family" campaign must also be intensified, encouraging everyone to learn from the model families.
An effective educational mechanism of the joint participation of family, school and society should be built, Shen said. The action of bringing the public's love and care to left-behind and impoverished children in rural areas will be enhanced to foster a new generation capable of shouldering the mission of national rejuvenation, she noted.
It is also important to gather the support of more forces and give full play to the role of women volunteers in the family-building work, she added.
